Las Vegas Nascar Race & More...Pt III
and now for the movies!!! First is pulling into the garage area:
Next is some activity around the garage area and closeup of the car we're there to see:
Next is them pushing the #28 car out to the track:
Next up is a 360 degree spin of what it's like to be on Pit Road at the start of a NASCAR Race:
Next up is F16's flyover after the National Anthem
Next is the F16's leaving the area to head back to Nellis Air Force Base which is just down the way from the racetrack.
Next is the pace lap of the cars going around the track
Next is the 2nd pace lap, speeding up a bit more
Next is the pace car coming by us on pit road the cars remaining on the track to make one round before getting to green
Next is the cars ready for green
Next is the skidout of Car #39 in through the infield grass and out the other side back onto the track which brought out the yellow flag and track cleaning crews ESPN's view of this was garbage compared to mine! Out of turn 4 the 39 car breaks loose and heads for the infield. As he crosses some grass he hits a bump and gets airborne then comes down passes through and heads back out onto the track. The first of a few yellows ensues.
Next is the 79 car coming in for fuel. This driver who is a woman had her race cut short, wrecked the car badly, but got out ok. Was something to see one minute she's in the race, a while later...OUT. Glad she's ok.
Next is a view from the stand at PITROAD for the Car 28 TEAM. We got to sit up high and watch the race. This stand has recorders and radio equipment, carries all the tools for the pit team so that they can keep the car going at the track level. Amazing stuff.
Next CAR #28 comes in for fuel. Notice the guy in white, he's a NASCAR official who watches every move. Every pit has at least one of these hanging around with a notepad watching everything. They're like hawks when it comes to details.
OH!!! And everyone wants to get their movie of Danica Patrick before they leave, so this is for all you guys out there who want to see her smiling face. Yes it was smiling. She started in 15th and finished in 4th. She was happy.
Lastly is the signoff of me before we pushed the car back to the garage.
